Discussion on Draft Law of Political Parties, Societies and Financing of Political Parties

The tertiary committees on amending and revising the law on parties, the law on societies and the law on financing political parties discussed in their second meeting, the first drafts of these laws.

The meeting held today, Tuesday, with an aim to further coordinating and more precisely drafting the draft laws on parties and political formations, societies and the law on financing political parties.

In this meeting, the first drafts of the mentioned laws were comprehensively discussed, and it is supposed to as soon as possible, hold separate consultative meetings with the representatives of political parties, representatives of social organizations and the representatives of the Independent Election Commission, to finalize the mentioned drafts.

The tertiary committees for the revision and amendment of the law on parties, the law on societies and the law on the financing political parties commenced their work in May of the instant year.

The purpose of establishing these committees is to upgrade the effectiveness of the activities of social organizations, formations and political parties.

The modality to finance political parties and supporting mechanisms for meaningful participation of national political parties, are the other instances that are to be considered in revising and amending the law on political parties.
