Deputy Admin Minister of Justice Calls on the Governor of Daikundi

Sayed Mohammad Hashimi, the Deputy Minister of Justice in Finance & Admin Affairs and his entourage travelled to Daikundi Province to examine and evaluate the achievements of the Provincial Directorate of Daikundi and its relevant sections/offices.

In this trip, the Deputy Minister of Justice called on Sayed Anwar Rahmati- the Governor of Daikundi, where provincial authorities and officials were also present. In this meeting, both sides discussed the status and the problems of the justice institutions of Daikundi Province. The Deputy Minister termed the aim of his visit to that province evaluating the problems and needs of the Justice Directorate’s offices and personnel. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the cooperation and coordination of the local government offices with the Provincial Directorate of Justice, and sought further cooperation and coordination amongst the relevant departments.

The Governor of Daikundi, described the Ministry of Justice as one the key institutions in the part of realizing justice and rule of law in the country and spoke on the achievements of the justice institutions in Daikundi, as well as problems of the land ownership in province. He said that the land title issues were amongst the acute social issues in the province. He requested the attention of the relevant authorities in this regard.

The Deputy Minister said, “It is envisaged that the graduates of the Law and Sharia Faculties shall be recruited in provincial and district offices of justice where education level is below Bachelor’s level. By doing so, he expressed hope that the provision of legal and justice services to people would improve.

Then the Deputy Minister visited the Provincial Directorate of Justice of Daikundi Province and met with the personnel. He evaluated their performances and the existing problems and challenges. He directed the relevant officials to solve those problems.

In this trip, the Deputy Minister met with the civil society organizations, Women Councils and representatives of political parties. He listened to the problems and grievances of the volunteer and social organizations of the province, and explained the view point of the Ministry of Justice about the civil and social organizations and their activities according to law. He promised to support the social and civil societies within the framework of law.

The Deputy Minister, accompanied by the Directors of Justice of Bamyan and Daikundi Provinces, went to the Shahristan and Miramor Districts of Daikundi province. He called on the district governors and police chiefs of the said districts. He evaluated the performances of Huqoq sub departments in those districts.

During his trip, the Deputy Minister, on the invitation of the Governor of Daikundi attended in a sport event, convened for the occasion of the Independence Day anniversary, the Asad 28, in the Neeli City. He also attended the inaugurating ceremony of the Sports Center of J. R. S, which has been operational with the efforts of the Provincial Education Directorate.
