Minister of Justice in Kandahar: All Cases on Usurpation of Government Estates are to be Addressed
Qazawatpooh Fazil Ahmad Manawi, Minister of Justice, during a visit to Kandahar province and meeting with local officials and employees of Kandahar Justice Department, emphasized to expedite the process of dealing with cases of usurpation of state and public properties and to implement the final and decisive judgments of the courts.
Mr. Manawi headed to Kandahar on Tuesday, January 27th, to attend the closing session of the joint seminar of police, prosecutors, the defense lawyers and the Ministry of Justice, held under the finance support of the ADALAT.
This seminar was held to increase the capacity of legal aid providers and to explain legislative documents to them. In this seminar, the Minister of Justice said that the criterion for providing security and having a prosperous and peaceful society is the ensuring of justice, that can definitely be sponsored by the justice institutions.
Besides attending this seminar and distributing the certificates to its participants, he visited the Justice Department of Kandahar and its related divisions and discussed extensively with the Justice Director and employees of the department the existing problems and ways to address them.
During the meeting, the Minister of Justice, in addition to emphasizing on ensuring justice, instructed the employees, to make all effort to deal with relevant issues at its particular time and provide facilities for the convenience of clients.
Mr. Fazil Ahmad Manawi also made the employees of this directorate cognizant on the acceptance of reform related proposal by presidential official and emphasized that upon the approval of material and intellectual privileges that have taken place, no negligence or inattention or carelessness in the delegated assignments will be acceptable.
He also said »No case of usurpation of state and public properties and the enforcement of final court decisions should be delayed. «
During the visit, Mr. Fazil Ahmad Manawi, also met with the newly appointed Governor of Kandahar, Ruhollah Khanzadeh and besides congratulating Mr. Khanzadeh- the former representative of Kandahar in the House of Representatives, asked them to cooperate with the Justice departments, especially in implementing court decisions and cooperating with the offices of directorate of Justice.
Minister of Justice also sought the cooperation of the governor office for the construction of the offices of the Kandahar directorate of Justice, currently working in a small and non-standard building.
