Minister of Justice meets with Acting in Charge of UNAMA
Sheikh al-hadeeth Mawlawi Sahib Abdul Hakeem Sharei, the acting minister of justice of Islamic Emirate met with Mr. Markus Potzel, deputy special representative of the secretary general in political affairs as the acting in charge of the United Nations assistance mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and his companions in his office at Ministry of Justice on Wednesday, 24th August.
The in-charge of UNAMA extended his condolence to the minister of justice for the martyrdom of the general director of legal aids and expressed his acknowledgements and appreciations to him for paving the ground for activities and distributing the operating licenses to the defense attorneys.
In this meeting, the in-charge of UNAMA provided information about the activities and new mission of the rule of law department of this office and he discussed the human rights, women’s education, and good governance, the importance of rule of law in insuring of security and peace and other issues with the minister of justice.
The minister of justice talked about the importance of law in the society and he said for sure no country or system will survive whit out the law. He added we have the laws in Hanafi Jurisprudence which are not available in any country. He mentioned the <Mujala- alahkam> book and he said a lot of countries and peoples used this book. He also added by using of the <ALamgair> book we can administrate the system a lot of principles and laws are mentioned in <Darul-Ahkam> book.
The minister of justice said for the purpose of using these books and summarizing the laws, there is a committee of scholars and Sheikhs in the ministry of justice, although, Amirulmominin may Allah preserve him appointed a some scholars and sheikhs in Kabul and Kandahar for this purpose.
He said about the education of the girls that the policy of Islamic Emirate is not to close the schools. If there was such a policy private sectors would not be allowed while private schools are active.
The minster of justice talked about the ensuring of security, eradicating the administrative corruptions and ensuring the rights of women in Afghanistan, and he said that right now, women are working in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, higher educations, educations and other ministries and approximately 15 thousand women are working only at the health section. He added that the salary is paid for other women who worked in previous ministries in their houses.
He said the work is going on for the opening of the girls’ schools and soon they will be opened, although, there are some problems which will be solved soon God willing!
Furthermore, the minister of justice said that in the Islamic Emirate, all ethnic groups and the employees of previous government and the Islamic Emirate are involved and the Emirate is an inclusive government. He requested the UNAMA to observe the reality closely and share it with the world. He said that the people of Afghanistan want to have good relation with the world and want the countries of the world to have good and friendly relations with the people of Afghanistan as well.
The UNAMA in-charge appreciated the Islamic Emirate for ensuring the security and eradicating the corruption in Afghanistan and expressed his satisfactions for the good and friendly relations amongst the ministry of justice and UNAMA. He added that the UNAMA wants a just government in Afghanistan and its goal is to help the people of Afghanistan.
At the end, the in-charge of UNAMA promised that they would coordinate with the Ministry of Justice in judicial sections.
