Sixth Conference on Juvenile Rehabilitation Centers in Kabul to Make Further Coordination and Development of Skills
The purpose of this conference has been to strengthen coordination amongst juvenile rehabilitation centers, state institutions and organizations working with juvenile rehabilitation centers.
Dr. Zakia Adili- deputy minister of justice in social affairs stated that unsound corrective environments have heightened the graph of juvenile offenders in the country and considering the role of the children in the reconstruction of the society and their future responsibilities, there ought to be further endeavors to appropriately nurture and educate them.
She also stated that, “All those who bear responsibility in the realm of nurturing children (families, schools, mosques etc.) should take more efforts to foster and nurture them correctly.
On the other hand, Mr. Ghullam Haidar Jaillani Social Deputy Minister of Labor, addressed children as the capital for today and tomorrow of the country and stressed that the respective administrations must take further coordinative steps towards the settlement of problems and challenges faced by the children deprived of their rights.
Mr. Jaillani also made sure the preparations of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in providing equipment and juvenile support center for the admission of delinquent children convicted of alternatives to detention.
Moreover, the representative of Ministry of Public Health, General Attorney Office, Ministry of Islamic Instructions, Pilgrimage and Endowments, Human Rights Commission and Youths Deputy of the Ministry of Information and Culture, ensured that they will discharge their responsibilities in dealing with the delinquent juveniles, considering alternatives to detention and provision of adequate education for the children.
