Meeting of the Minister of Justice with a delegation from the Islamic Cooperation Organization
Shaikh Ul-Hadith Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Sharaie, the Acting Minister of Justice of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met on Tuesday Jun 21, 2022 at the Ministry of Justice with a delegation of scholars from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) led by Doctor Kutob Mustafa Sano, Secretary General of the International Academy of Islamic Jurisprudence.
This delegation came to Afghanistan on behalf of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to talk with scholars and official of the Islamic Emirate about important issues including moderation in religion and girls educations.
The delegation first briefed the Minister of Justice on Organization of Islamic Cooperation to Minister of Justice. The delegation also welcomed the peace prevailed in Afghanistan and wished lasting stability in the country.
In this meeting, there was a discussion about girls’ education and hijab observation. The Minister of Justice provided information about the economic situation and problems of Afghanistan and assured the delegation of Islamic scholars that Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is in favor of girls’ education within the framework of sharia.
He said, at the moment all seminaries and schools are active, but due to economic problems we cannot build new separate schools and seminaries for girls because the United States has blocked Afghanistan’s capital and the banking activities are stopped in the country.
The minister of justice emphasized that many things have been suspended due to economic problems. He added that if the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is recognized, many of the current problems will be solved and Afghanistan will prosper in various areas.
At the end, the delegation of Islamic scholars promised the Minister of Justice that they would assure their governments of the peace and security provided in Afghanistan and would asked them to establish friendly relation with the Islamic Emirate.
