Convention of “Information Exchange Program” on Human and Migrants Trafficking
The program for preparing the statistics and exchanging the information on human and migrants trafficking and disordered migration was convened with the participation of technical committee members of the High Commission on Combatting against Human and Migrants Trafficking and other officials and experts from the International Center for Migration Policy Development.
In this program, Nayef Riazat, director of Human Rights Protection of the Ministry of Justice and Secretary of the High Commission for Combating Human and Migrant Trafficking, spoke about the challenges on controlling and preventing human and migrant trafficking, including the lack of exact statistics in this issue.
He emphasized that in order to prevent this phenomenon, the ground should be paved for the exchange of information between countries that are the source and target of human and migrant trafficking, and accrued information should be available for the countries about trafficking networks and their victims.
In this program, Ms. Isabel, Head of RELEC Project, and specialist of the International Center for Migration Policy Development spoke online with members of the Technical Committee.
The person in charge of the RELEC center project said that human trafficking is a transnational and international crime and for the prevention and fighting against this phenomenon the coordination amongst countries involved in this matter should be strengthened. Furthermore, he added that, the RELEC organization is ready and willing to enhance the level of cooperation in national and international levels regarding this issue.
Likewise, other participants stated their points of view and suggestions on sharing information on human and migrant trafficking, and emphasized on systematization in this regard.
