A Number of Institutions Share their Proposals on Draft Family Law with Ministry of Justice
The representatives of a number of agencies and civil society organizations in a meeting with Gul Mohammad Gulzai- Deputy Minister of Justice in Financial and Administrative Affairs shared discussed the draft Family Law and, shared their views and suggestions in this regard with the deputy minister.
At this meeting, took place on Sunday, 15th November, representatives of civil societies and organizations spoke about the importance of the family, and besides appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Justice especially in the area of draft family law, provided their viewpoints and suggestions regarding the said document.
The Deputy Minister of Justice also emphasized that the governance system in the country is an open one and the Ministry of Justice welcomes the viewpoints and suggestions of all civil society organizations in order to further enrich the legislative documents.
The Ministry of Justice has also asked for the written observations and remarks of ministries and governmental institutions and the Council of Afghanistan Scholars (Ulemas) on the draft family law.
It is supposed that the draft of this law will soon considering the shared views be finalized and sent to the Cabinet Legislation Committee for further processing.
