The Condolence Message of His Excellency Abdul Hakim Sharei, Minister of Justice on Deadly Earthquake in the South of the Country

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ 

In the name of Allah the most beneficent the most merciful

وَ بَشِّرِ الصَّابِرينَ أَلَّذينَ إِذا أَصابَتْهُمْ مُصيبَةٌ قالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّا إِلَيْهِ راجِعُونَ

“Those who, when an affliction visits them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return”.

We are deeply saddened and mournful to be informed that as a consequence of the severe earthquake occurring in Paktika, Khost and Paktia provinces, hundreds of our innocent compatriots were martyred and hundreds more were  severely injured and this tragic incident also inflicted serious financial losses.

The leadership and all employees of the Ministry of Justice, while expressing their heartfelt sympathy and grief with the families of the victims, pray to the God Almighty for the martyrs of this incident and for the injured to be healed immediately.

The leadership of Ministry of Justice also calls on all donor institutions and the international community to make every effort to rescue and assist the victims.
