The Acting Minister of Justice met with the Turkish Ambassador in Kabul
The Acting Minister of Justice of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Maulawi (Islamic Scholar) Abdul Hakim Shari, met with the Ambassador of Turkey, Jihad Orginai and the accompanying delegation in Kabul.
At the meeting, the Acting Minister of Justice thanked Turkey for its support and cooperation with the people of Afghanistan, said: "Turkey and Afghanistan have had friendly relations since long back and will continue to do so in the future." He added that Afghanistan wants friendly relations with Turkey and all countries.
Referring to Turkey's past assistance to the people of Afghanistan, the Turkish ambassador said his country is still ready to cooperate with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He added that our cooperation will be done with the Ministry of Justice of Afghanistan in the section of training of staff and transferring of specialists.
Over the course of the meeting, the Turkish ambassador sought clarification on the previous agreements between the two countries, including the extradition agreement.
The Acting Minister of Justice said: "The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to all previous agreements and commitments made with other countries; however, only if they are not in conflict with Islamic law."
He thanked Turkey for its position on international issues, especially those involving Muslims.
