Minister of Justice Meets with Justice Directors of 34 Provinces

Qanoonpooh Fazal Ahmad Manawi Minister of Justice met with Directors and Sub-Directors of State Cases and Huqoq and other responsible person of Justice Directorates of 34 provinces on Tuesday evening February 24^th, 2021 and heard their problems, challenges and suggestions.

Professor Manawi said at this meeting that paying attention to the provinces Justice Departments and local units of the Ministry of Justice are at the top of Ministry of Justice programs. He stressed that they all should pay attention in their capacities to bring facilitation for people.  

At this meeting Justice Directors of the provinces expressing appreciation for the efforts of Minister of Justice, shared their problems with the Minister of Justice including return of public properties from usurpers, legal challenges, difficulties in enforcing courts decisions and lack of equipment.

They said that problems exist in state cases law that in some cases hinders the defense of public properties. Similarly, the Directors of Justice mentioned as challenges to their duties the interference of local provincial officials in affairs of the Directorates of Justice and lack of police cooperation in enforcing final decisions of courts with these directorates.  

After hearing problems and suggestions of officials of local departments of Ministry of Justice, the Minister of Justice said for solving this problem some initiatives have been taken and some other efforts are underway.

He said, absence of delegation of officials from different departments in enforcing courts decisions slows down this process and the choice is that the enforcing courts decisions to be transferred independently to Huqoq departments and other relevant departments with the cooperation of this department.    

Manawi also said that afterwards the issue of reward and punishment will be taken into consideration. He clarified that the problem of lack of appropriate buildings for the Justice Departments and required equipment will be addressed to the extent possible.
