Consultative meeting with political figures and University professors about draft law of political parties and legalization of political formations
Ministry of justice of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, held a consultative meeting about draft law of political parties and legalization of political formations.
This meeting was held on 4th of July, 2021 in the presence of Dr. Zakia “Adiliy” Social Deputy Minister of Justice Ministry along with a number of political figures and University professors participating discussing and exchanging views about draft law of political parties and legalizing political formations.
Social Deputy, by calling the draft law of political parties important, stated about other political formations activities: according to 23rd article of current political parties law, parties and other political organizations are responsible to process the registration process according to the law if not, cannot use the inserted rights in this law. This is in the situation that, many of the political formations working in the frame of movement, pivot, alliance and others are not registered with ministry of Justice.
She added, legal gap in this regard, has increased the flow of illegal activities; therefore, legalization of political formations is an important step among others.
In the continuation of the meeting, participants by insisting the need of legalizing political formations expressed their views and opinions regarding draft law of political parties too.
At the end, the new draft of political parties is being reviewed at ministry of justice and will be submitted to relevant authorities soon.
